Medical conditions due to excessive heat exposure that should be avoided and treated urgently
Dear readers,
We have all been looking forward to the summer and its finally here! :)
I live in Nicosia, the capital Cyprus where the weather can reach up to 45°C; and even though i love the heat, such high temperatures are not to be disregarded.
Here is a reminder to do all of those things that we hear every summer... Drink loads of water, apply sunscreen and then apply again! Protect your eyes with shades, wear a hat, wear clothes that will protect from the sun....

Mona Lisa
This is me; calm, standing in the crowd knowing that
everything will fall in to place.
Like dominoes set up to get tipped over you stand unknowingly that the start is the beginning of the end. How is it possible that you do not remember me? You have seen me a thousand times before, and I have looked straight in to your eyes. Still, you call me by a name that is not mine.
I remember the city of Florence and the beautiful summers the seven of us spent running through the wheat harvest. I was just Lisa then, fifteen and the eldest of us all; unknowingly, still so young. Who would have known that between then and now lifetimes would set us apart…

10 Natural Skin Care Tips
- Eat vegetable oils, nuts and seeds to get a daily dose of Vitamin E which helps prevent the formation of wrinkles. Vitamin E is also sold over the counter in drug stores and even some hypermarkets in the form of capsules or in the form of oil. Applying Vitamin E oil directly on your skin will speed up the healing of scars and wounds.

My Isotroin Experience (Accutane or Isotretinoin)
My Isotroin Experience (Accutane or Isotretinoin)
Last October 2011 I had my first doctor’s
appointment to get my acne looked at. At
26 years this was the first time I have had problems with my skin. During my
teen years when all my friends were naturally going through breakouts, my skin
never gave me any problems besides the one or two spots during the month. Now
all of a sudden I was suffering from constant breakouts, persistent spots that
would last for months and the fact that my face was always saw to the touch was
really tiring me out.
For months before I tried Over
The Counter skin care products and when that did not work I tried antibiotics
which did not have any noticeable results. This was when I decided to see a dermatologist
and find the reason for this 'all of a sudden' change.

Design Ideas - An idea is just an idea until you let it out…
Design Ideas
An idea is just an idea until you
let it out…
My University Typography Professor
Demetris Kokkinolampos used to explain in our classes that thinking to hard
about an idea we have will accumulate stress, creating road blocks.
The best way to get your idea out
there is to actually do it! Sketch it, get it on paper, print it, draw it, go,
see, do! Once the idea is in front of you, it stops being an idea and becomes reality!
This is the best time to decide
if you should continue, change or reject! Don’t be afraid to criticize your own
work and admit that it’s time to move on… No, it’s not a waste of time to have
gone through with the first idea even if it was not the wright one. The first
ideas becoming reality is probably what will lead you to the next step.
We
learn from our process the same way we learn from our mistakes!

Things none of us should forget
Yesterday I discovered who i believe
to be a fabulous woman. Her words touched and inspired me.
Here are a few things none of us should
forget by Nadia Ballas-Ruta
Your worth as a human being has
nothing to do with how much money you have or the degrees or any other material
item you think you own. You don’t own anything except for how you live. When
you pass on, the cars, the money and all the things you own will not go with
you. They will stay behind.
Your worth is determined by one
thing and one thing only: how much love have you given to life? Have you
brought joy to others or just misery? I wish I could tell you that I have only
brought joy to others but I have not. I have done things which have hurt people
but I vowed to learn from my mistakes and not repeat them. Sometimes it is easy
and other times it is hard.
So celebrate being you and being
alive. Enjoy the journey. If you have goals, go for them but realize that the
goals do not define who you are. How you go about your day says more about you
than what you achieve.
How you treat a stranger says more about you than how much money you have in
the bank.

Step by Step - Short Story
Doris came home from school… She
dropped her school bag off her shoulders and on to the floor.
“Hello Doris!” Said Doris’
mother; “How was school?”
“It was awful” replied Doris with
a sad face… “My teacher gave us a whole load of homework, and now I won’t have
any time to play this week end”
Doris’ mother smiled at her young
daughter and said: “Well, I guess you should get started on your homework then…
Oh! And don’t forget you still have to tidy up your room like you promised me
yesterday!”
Doris picked up her bag and left
for her room. Sitting at her desk, Doris decided to start on her homework; she
emptied out her school bag and was exhausted just by the sight of the large
pile of thick books that fell out.
